So far the Black Eyed Peas, PSY and Andrea Bocelli have made an appearance at Expo 2020. There’s loads of water station to top up on water as you walk around Look up the events Seeing the massive expo site springing up from the desert is truly impressive. Think Space Probe from Wonderland but much slower. You’ll pay an extra $12 to do this, but it’s absolutely worth it.
You can pick one up at the event for $7 at official Expo stores. Get your passport stamped at each pavilion as you make your way around the world. It’s best to get there at 10am when it opens. Popular pavilions can get quite busy with long queues. The round, colourful and almost licorice lace looking building houses a fascinating exhibit on the human brain and how through interconnectivity, we can drive the future. Just by looking at the pavilion from the outside (there's a pic of it above) you know you’re in for something special. But the real showstopper is a fully immersive display inside which projects the country’s natural and architectural wonders around and beneath you – like standing in a dome-shaped iMax cinema. The Kingdom broke three world records with its Pavilion, starting by it’s entrance with a large mirror display balancing at a 45-degree angle. Just looking at the building it’s clear the Kingdom spared no expense. You’ll leave the Saudi pavilion ready to book a holiday there. It’s split into three districts (opportunity, mobility and sustainability) and with so much to see, it’s impossible to do it all in just one day. Just by looking at the pavilion from the outside you know you’re in for something special.
